About The Position
Sentara is hiring a Full-time Inpatient Pharmacy Technician at Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA. $5,000 Sign-On Bonus for Qualified Candidates! Location: Suffolk, VA- Sentara Obici Hospital Status: Full Time (40 hrs/wk) Shift: Rotating (8 hour shift) Hours: 6am-11pm (occasional overnight coverage) Weekends: Every Other Weekend Holiday Rotation Hours may vary to meet pharmacy staffing needs. Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as needed Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned. Requirements
- A pharmacy technician license is required in the state of practice
- Education High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Virginia Pharmacy Tech License (Required)
Nice To Haves
- CPhT License (Received through the NHA or PTCB) (Preferred)
- Previous Pharmacy Experience (preferred)
