As a pharmacy technician, you ensure patient safety by accurately preparing and dispensing medications. Your efficiency in managing inventory and processing prescriptions allows pharmacists to focus on patient care. By providing excellent customer service and medication guidance, you enhance patient satisfaction and adherence to treatment plans. Key Position Details: FTE 1.0 (80 hours per two week pay period) 8-hour day/evening/night shift Every other weekend Variable day/evening/night shifts (8.5 hours with 30-minute meal break) Day shifts: Start times between 5:30 a.m. – 7:30 a.m. (staggered) Evening shifts: Start times between 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Night shifts: Start at 9:00 p.m., 10-hour shifts (7 on / 7 off rotation) Primary coverage: Day and evening shifts Night coverage: Voluntary for vacation/sick coverage; rare mandatory coverage as needed (training provided) Schedule: No set schedule; days off will vary Technician Levels: Three-tier structure (Tier I, Tier II, Tier III) Entry level: All new hires start at Tier I Advancement: Training into Tier II and Tier III based on departmental needs and seniority Floating: No floating required at Tier I level Travel (Tier II/III): Potential for occasional travel to off-site locations (e.g., WestHealth) New hires: Off-site travel not required initially
