Technicians at the Tier 1 level perform basic pharmaceutical duties under the direct supervision of PHC Registered Pharmacists. They must be proficient in basic mathematical and pharmaceutical calculations, as well as computer and telephone skills. They are expected to provide accurate, independent work and interact well with other healthcare personnel. All Tier 1 technicians need to demonstrate competence in ordering and control of stock, selection of drug product, nonsterile drug preparation, controlled substance handling, and pharmacy automated systems. Retail Tier 1 technicians also need proficiency in insurance adjudication, prescription entry, cash handling, and inventory control.
Requirements
