About The Position

Join our team at Barnes-Jewish Hospital's Primary Care Medicine Clinic, where you'll play a vital role supporting pharmacists, providers, and patients in a fast-paced academic healthcare setting. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to work closely with a diverse patient population while assisting with patient outreach, care coordination, medication access, scheduling, and communication with healthcare teams. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5-10 years of experience
• State Bd Pharm Registration
• Pharmacy Tech Certification

• 10+ years of experience

Responsibilities

• Maintains quality assurance standards and required documentation; maintains regulatory cleanliness compliance.
• Assists in the preparation of medication orders, to include workflow management, basic preparation & dispensing, and non-sterile compounding.
• Supports various inventory activities, to include inventory storage, ordering, rotating, beyond use dating, and cleanliness.
• Assumes primary responsibility for advanced level tasks, functions or an area of specialty, to include telepharmacy, investigation programs, diversion/regulatory programs, medication history collection, and revenue cycle management; authenticates the work performed by other technicians, vaccinators, and/or lead technicians.
• Become proficient in required and continuous learning for the advanced role, including the advanced use and maintenance of associated electronic/automated systems, and any necessary certifications; serves as a subject matter expert, as denoted by advanced certification recognized by Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or other required training outside of pharmacy.
• The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
