About The Position

This role involves reviewing and assessing medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve drug-related problems, recommending formulary alternatives when appropriate. The Inpatient Pharmacist will compound and dispense medications for accurate delivery to patients, provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients, and communicate with physicians and other clinicians as necessary to facilitate care. This position will also oversee technical personnel who assist in the preparation, maintenance, and dispensing of medications and supplies, assist with academic functions such as serving as a preceptor for pharmacy students, and may float to provide coverage of pharmacy needs. Patient counseling will be provided efficiently and effectively when required.

Requirements

Pharmacist credentialed from the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.

Nice To Haves

Prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
PGY1 acute care residency preferred.
