About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist for an 8-week travel assignment in Hood River, Oregon. This short-term opportunity offers a consistent block schedule and the chance to work in an acute care hospital environment supporting inpatient and emergency department services. First-time travel pharmacists are encouraged to apply. The role involves reviewing, verifying, and dispensing inpatient medication orders, preparing and overseeing sterile IV medications, TPNs, and emergency medications, and ensuring compliance with USP standards and medication safety protocols. The pharmacist will support emergency department and acute care patient needs, collaborate with healthcare teams, provide clinical consultation, utilize Epic EMR, maintain accurate records, and participate in overnight on-call coverage.

Requirements

  • Active Oregon Pharmacist License (RPh/PharmD).
  • Willingness to work scheduled weekends.
  • Ability to participate in overnight on-call rotation.
  • Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Inpatient or Acute Care Hospital Pharmacy Experience.
  • Experience with sterile compounding and IV preparations.
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR.
  • Experience supporting emergency department or critical care pharmacy services.

Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, and dispense inpatient medication orders.

  • Maintain accurate pharmacy records and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in overnight on-call coverage as required.
