About The Position

Live Oak Mental Health and Wellness is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to join their growing behavioral health team in Charleston, South Carolina. This unique position offers a blend of inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, providing a diverse and rewarding clinical practice within an established, physician-focused environment. The modern 80-bed stand-alone behavioral health hospital offers comprehensive psychiatric services across multiple levels of care, including a robust and expanding Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). The incoming psychiatrist will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care while collaborating with an experienced multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Active South Carolina medical license or ability to obtain one
• DEA registration or eligibility
• Interest in collaborative, multidisciplinary care
• Strong communication and leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management
• Manage inpatient psychiatric admissions and treatment plans
• Provide outpatient follow-up care as needed
• Provide clinical supervision and support for Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners
• Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
• Participate in shared call coverage
