About The Position

Helio Health is seeking a Driver/Facilities Aide for its Rochester Inpatient Program. This role is responsible for providing safe transportation for clients and patients to and from scheduled appointments, as well as performing general facilities upkeep duties. The position is full-time, with shifts including weekdays and some weekends. The pay rate is $16.00 - $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

Valid New York State Driver’s License.
High School Diploma/equivalency required.
Ability to relate effectively with staff and patients.
Sound judgement and cultural competency.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency with basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

Provide safe transport of patients to and from scheduled appointments.
Maintain the transport log to accommodate daily transport needs.
Enforce safety and emergency procedures associated with the position.
Ensure the transport vehicle is in compliance with New York State Motor Vehicle laws (vehicle inspection, registration, insurance cards).
Maintain vehicle trip log on a daily basis.
Maintain the transport vehicle: fill with gas, windshield fluid, monitor safety needs (tire pressure), keep clean and operating properly.
Report any safety or maintenance concerns to supervisor or administrative staff in a timely manner.
Provide support to the on-going operations of the program as needed.
Attend staff meetings as scheduled.
Perform general facilities upkeep duties.
