Requirements

Must be a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS).
Minimum of five years’ experience in hospital coding
Demonstrated knowledge of diagnosis-related group (DRG) regulations, as evidenced by a score of at least 90% on a coding test or six months of DRG coding with proven accuracy.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of personal computers.
