Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- 1 year of coding experience
- One or more certifications - RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-H
Nice To Haves
- Coding Certificate program (AHIMA accredited)
- Experience in coding at a multi-facility organization
- remote coding experience
Responsibilities
- Reviews, analyzes, and codes documentation for hospital inpatient medical records to select and sequence the appropriate ICD-9-CM diagnosis, ICD-9-CM procedure codes, ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS as applicable to the transition to ICD-10.
- Primary coding responsibility is Inpatient Coding.
