The Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist III delivers pharmaceutical care by providing patient-centered clinical service, medication information, education, medication preparation, and distribution to ensure safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication therapy. This role requires exercising sound judgment and developed clinical skills to contribute to and implement the patient's plan of care based on their diagnosis in a timely manner. The pharmacist is expected to build trust and cooperation with patients, their families/support groups, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring and care, and effective communication. Adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures is essential to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. The position may also involve performing specific tasks and/or orienting other staff members to the department.
