Inpatient Case Manager/ Registered Nurse (RN) for Emergency Department (ED)
About The Position
Sentara Princess Anne Hospital is hiring a full-time, permanent Inpatient Case Manager Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. This onsite role is based in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and works a 4x10 schedule from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM EST, Sunday through Wednesday or Wednesday through Saturday. The position is eligible for up to a $20,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates. The Inpatient Case Manager RN provides and facilitates comprehensive care management, services, and quality outcomes for patients across the healthcare continuum. The primary focus is transitioning patients to the appropriate level of care while supporting clinical appropriateness and length of stay. The role directly supports hospital patients identified as needing comprehensive case management, promotes effective utilization and monitoring of health services, and collaborates with the healthcare team and patients or caregivers to manage care and transitions. The RN develops and/or implements comprehensive care plans based on assessment and evaluation of the physical, mental, and psychosocial needs of inpatients and caregivers. This role functions in a hospital practice setting. Sentara Princess Anne Hospital is a 174-bed acute care hospital serving southern Virginia Beach and neighboring communities. The hospital is an accredited Primary Stroke Center and Magnet hospital for nursing excellence, and offers services including orthopedic and spine care, heart and vascular care, advanced imaging, gynecological and breast care, and family maternity services with a neonatal intensive care unit. The base pay range for full-time employment is $89,544.00–$136,468.80 annually. Additional compensation may be available, including shift differentials, on-call pay, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Qualified candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Virginia or North Carolina, or Compact/Multi-state RN licensure, is required.
- BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
- Case Management certification (ACM, CCM, CCCTM, CMAC, or CMGT-BC) is required within one year of eligibility.
- At least 1 year of nursing experience is required.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
- 1 year of acute care case management experience preferred.
- Emergency Department (ED) or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience preferred.
Responsibilities
