Inpatient Cardiovascular Advanced Practice Provider
About The Position
Citrus Cardiology Consultants is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its hospital-based cardiology team in Crystal River, Florida. This is a 100% inpatient position with a seven-days-on, seven-days-off daytime schedule and no outpatient clinic responsibilities. The APP will work closely with attending cardiologists while caring for patients with a broad range of cardiovascular conditions. Experienced providers and new graduates with a strong interest in cardiology are encouraged to apply. Training, mentorship, and a supportive onboarding process are provided.
Requirements
- Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Active Florida license or eligibility to obtain one
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Interest in cardiovascular medicine
Nice To Haves
- Cardiology, hospital, or acute care experience preferred but not required
- New graduate NPs and PAs are welcome
Responsibilities
- Round on hospitalized cardiovascular patients
- Perform inpatient consultations and follow-up evaluations
- Evaluate and manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions
- Review EKGs, laboratory results, imaging, and diagnostic studies
- Develop treatment plans in collaboration with attending cardiologists
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and care plans
- Coordinate care with the hospital team
- Complete accurate and timely EMR documentation
