About The Position

Join the Inpatient and Infusion Center Pharmacy Team at Intermountain Health Good Samaritan Hospital as our Pharmacist Supervisor. In this leadership role, you'll help guide a team dedicated to safe, high-quality patient care across inpatient and infusion pharmacy services. Our pharmacists and pharmacy technicians collaborate closely with interdisciplinary care teams to provide accurate, timely medication therapy across a variety of care settings. In addition to direct patient care responsibilities, you'll serve as a frontline leader supporting caregiver engagement, workflow optimization, regulatory compliance, onboarding, training, and operational excellence. You'll help oversee medication distribution, sterile compounding, automated dispensing systems (Omnicell), inventory management, controlled substance accountability, and departmental quality initiatives. Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution (education verified).
  • License to practice pharmacy in a state in which Intermountain Health operates or eligibility to obtain a license upon hire.
  • Effective communication, people management, and project management skills.
  • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
  • Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate supplies and equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.

  • Previous experience working in an integrated healthcare delivery system.
  • Previous leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises pharmacy caregivers and to ensure efficient and effective pharmacy operations pertaining to the area of focus.
  • Responsible for caregiver engagement for the team.
  • Help to establish quality measures and key performance indicators to improve the operation of the pharmacy and care of the patient.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines, departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
  • Engages with leaders and team to improve and optimize operational and clinical outcomes.
  • Oversee medication distribution, sterile compounding, automated dispensing systems (Omnicell), inventory management, controlled substance accountability, and departmental quality initiatives.
