About The Position

Join two of our dynamic subspecialty medical hospitalist teams providing comprehensive inpatient care across a diverse pediatric continuum—from neonates to young adults. In this role, you will manage complex diagnoses and chronic conditions across high-acuity patient populations, including Inpatient Pulmonary, Inpatient Nephrology, Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU), and Cardiac Failure & Transplant. We are seeking an adaptable, collaborative Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Beyond clinical care, you will actively participate in education, interdisciplinary consultation, research, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in nursing with a concentration in a pediatric or family nurse practitioner program OR graduate of a nationally accredited physician assistant program.
  • One year work experience in a pediatric or family focused clinical area.
  • Active, unencumbered registered nurse and advanced registered nurse practitioner licensure in the State of Washington (for Nurse Practitioners).
  • Current national certification as a pediatric or family nurse practitioner (for Nurse Practitioners).
  • Active, unencumbered physician assistant licensure in the State of Washington (for Physician Assistants).
  • Initial certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (for Physician Assistants).
  • Active Drug Enforcement Authority registration.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Professionals is required at time of hire and to be maintained continuously throughout employment. American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) will also be accepted in lieu of BLS for Healthcare Professionals.
  • Active clinical privileges as an Allied Health Provider at Seattle Children's Hospital must be secured prior to time of hire and must be maintained in good standing and in compliance with all medical staff bylaws, continuously throughout employment.

Responsibilities

  • Practice autonomously and collaboratively to deliver high-quality inpatient care, including patient assessment, diagnostic reasoning, treatment initiation, procedures, and ongoing evaluation.
  • Oversee diverse pediatric populations with multi-system chronic conditions and acute medical needs.
  • Serve as a clinical liaison, educator, and consultant across specialty teams to optimize clinical practice and care delivery.
