The primary purpose of this role is to perform the dynamic combined aspects of pest control, exclusion services, minor construction, and TAP (Thermal Acoustical Pest) insulation installation allowing you to make a significant impact in the communities we serve. The Innovation Technician role involves working around animals, insects, and termites, often in tight, confined spaces such as basements, attics, and crawl spaces. Essential functions include setting up and building exclusion traps, removing animals, and completing production forms. The role also requires working around mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, fumes, dust, and chemicals, with training provided on safe handling. Physical demands include moving up to 50 pounds, maintaining balance on various surfaces, and pushing objects with sustained force. The technician will work both inside and outside in various climates and must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including an OSHA-compliant respirator. Safely operating a motor vehicle and maintaining equipment cleanliness are also key aspects of the job.
