About The Position

Administers and manages activities within a specific area of a responsibility. Serves as the subject matter expert and applies gained knowledge to execute, maintain and improve systems, programs, or processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or relevant work experience

Responsibilities

• Helps students develop interpersonal skills and problem-solving capabilities through group interaction and collaboration
• Plans and organizes related programming throughout the year
• Advises students to encourage and support student achievement
• Monitors, supervises, and enforces rule of conduct and behavior of assigned students; reinforces positive student behaviors in accordance with school and District policy
• Observes, evaluates, and records student performance, behavior, social development, and physical health; prepares student, attendance and activity reports as required by administrators
• Prepares educational course outlines, objectives, and materials according to curriculum guidelines or state and local requirements; communicates to students clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects; and instructs students individually and in groups, using various teaching methods and technology and adjusting teaching style and method to meet student learning style
• Prepares, administers, assigns, and grades tests and assignments to evaluate student progress, reporting grades using District software
• Communicates with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve student behavioral and academic problems and coordinate instructional efforts
