About The Position

We are hiring engineers to design cost-effective solutions for our fulfillment and distribution systems. You will partner with internal and external teams to develop standards and specifications for complex material handling systems. As the subject matter expert, you will guide design teams and stakeholders from concept through installation, commissioning, and launch. Your work will directly influence the quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of Amazon's fulfillment infrastructure.

Requirements

5+ years of Design/Innovation, research & development, manufacturing, process, industrial engineering, or related experience
Experience in Design/Innovation, research & development, manufacturing, process, industrial engineering, or related work
Experience in management of engineering design projects

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in Engineering (any domain) or foreign equivalent, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field
Knowledge of concepts like system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making
Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems and high-speed manufacturing
Experience with design-in-safety
Experience with process design based on Lean Principles

Responsibilities

Own multiple standards and specifications simultaneously.
Design high-quality, cost-effective fulfillment and distribution solutions.
Serve as technical expert to design teams and stakeholders.
Ensure designs meet requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Verify successful installation, commissioning, and launch of systems.
