Inline Operator-Days
About The Position
Lead and coordinate Inline machine to achieve planned results by ensuring maximum machine output, communicating expectations, maintaining safe working environment, and initiating continuous improvement projects. This role involves operating, monitoring, and producing quality product to customer's satisfaction at the Inline, setting up the Inline to specifications according to work instructions, and operating an overhead crane and driving a forklift to move product. The position also requires promoting good housekeeping, 5S, and safety practices, performing assigned tasks in a timely manner, solving technical issues, and being self-motivated to perform daily tasks without guidance. A good knowledge of all safety procedures while operating the Inline and the ability to complete assigned instructions are essential.
Requirements
- Read and comprehend written and verbal instructions
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide)
- Ability to work with others, collaborate with others, and help others around you
- Forklift certification required
- Ability to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle and feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear
- Ability to use senses to diagnose and troubleshoot problems
- Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift/or move up to 50 pounds
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and produce quality product to customer's satisfaction at the Inline
- Set up the Inline to specs according to the work instructions
- Operate an overhead crane and drive a forklift to move product
- Promote good housekeeping, 5S, and safety practices in all activities completed daily
- Perform all tasks assigned to the Inline in a timely manner
- Solve technical issues as you are running product
- Perform day-to-day task without guidance
- Operate production equipment
- Adhere to all safety procedures while operating the Inline
- Complete any assigned instructions from VSL
