About The Position
Prepares inks for use by press operator.
Requirements
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Good mathematical aptitude.
- Able to read, write and speak English.
- Team player, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be punctual, self-directed task completion, have good interpersonal skills and professionalism to interface with all departments.
- Must work normal shift hours and overtime as required.
- Prior related experience.
Responsibilities
- Reviews daily list to determine necessary ink quantities needed for production.
- Obtains ink from inventory and uses dispenser or hand weighs inks to obtain proper quantities.
- Makes custom inks from formulas in database.
- Performs color-matching and toning for new jobs. Completes drawdowns.
- Assists press operators resolve ink related issues on press.
- Maintains and cleans equipment including scales, pumps, etc.
- Replenishes common inks in ink dispensing unit.
- Maintains files and records.
- Maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition in accordance with housekeeping and safety requirements.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
