Requirements

  • Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Have previous manufacturing experience of at least 6 months
  • Have forklift experience
  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Have basic math, communications and mechanical skills
  • Be capable of managing multiple tasks
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of Microsoft Suite (MS Office) programs

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of 5S workplace
  • Knowledge of TPM
  • Ability to work 10-hour shifts
  • Ability to work overtime and on weekends

Responsibilities

  • Tend mills in a safe and efficient manner to grind the raw materials for manufacturing of high-quality printing ink.
  • Follow batch instructions to weight batches, charge and mix inks.
  • Understand proper mixing procedures and raw materials.
  • Monitor temperature and mix speeds and adjusting as needed.
  • Follow procedures for milling inks, adjusting pump speeds and mill rates.
  • Follow procedures to filter, package and label inks.
  • Make QC adjustments as instructed.
  • Weight quantities of raw materials for use in the manufacturing of high quality printing ink.
  • Operate one or more mixers in a safe and efficient manner to mix raw materials for the manufacturing of high quality printing ink.
  • Package the finished product.
  • Operate a forklift.
