This position is for an Ink Jet Operator responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining commercial web presses and Versamark Ink Jet systems. The role is crucial for producing high-quality print, minimizing waste, and supporting a safe and efficient production environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience operating web presses
- Kodak Versamark Ink Jet experience
- Mechanical aptitude
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work in fast-paced environment

- Heidelberg and Goss Web Presses preferred
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor high-speed Versamark inkjet systems to produce accurate, high-quality output
- Set up jobs according to production specifications, including file verification, press calibration, and media adjustments
- Work with variable data files to ensure accurate personalization, addressing, and data integrity throughout production runs
- Perform routine press checks and control spoilage/waste to maintain efficiency and reduce costs
- Follow documented quality control procedures to verify print accuracy, color consistency, barcodes, and addressing
- Conduct basic press maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and ensure reliable press operation
- Actively participate in department training programs to develop technical skills and stay current on equipment and processes
- Collaborate with the team lead and production staff, following all management system procedures, 5S, and Standard Work instructions
