This position is responsible for ensuring that materials and print file references match the work order. Responsible for validating the printing settings, color, position and resolution against retains and templates. Ensures first article is correct and submitted to Quality for approval. Provide training as required to new hires and /or assigned personnel on the proper operation, set-up and preventative maintenance of the equipment. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that materials and print file references match the work order.
  • Validating the printing settings, color, position and resolution against retains and templates.
  • Ensures first article is correct and submitted to Quality for approval.
  • Provide training as required to new hires and /or assigned personnel on the proper operation, set-up and preventative maintenance of the equipment.
  • Operates digital printing equipment.
  • Assists the supervisor in estimating materials, labor and equipment hours to accomplish a project.
  • Displays a general understanding of the Safety mechanisms and guidelines for operation.
  • Accurately selects the appropriate materials and files associated with each order to obtain First Article Approval.
  • Possesses the ability to recognize quality defects and obstructions in the print path.
  • Performs routine maintenance activities; such as ink replacements, nozzle checks, head cleanings and other departmental housekeeping objectives.
  • Electronically documents daily throughput; including scrap quantities, equipment malfunctions and overall downtime.
  • Develop a basic understanding of color profiles; as it applies to our printing process.
  • Timely Corrective Action response and resolution to relevant project situations.
  • Engage and support companywide Safety and Cleanliness programs.
  • Will be required to perform other job functions, as required.
