Job Summary: The Injury Prevention Program Manager is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Trauma System's Injury Prevention and Trauma Survivors Network programs to ensure trauma centers have the tools, resources, support, and programs to meet or exceed American College of Surgeons verification requirements and State of Colorado and Kansas designation requirements. In addition, the program manager will lead the hospital-level Injury Prevention and Trauma Survivors Network programs. In this role, the program manager will work closely with the Group Directors of Trauma, Trauma Program Managers, and RN Trauma Injury Prevention Specialists to strategically develop, implement, and lead systemwide programs, projects, campaigns, and partnerships that align with the health system's prevention strategy and will be actualized in communities by the local trauma programs.

Requirements

  • BSN or Bachelors in Public Health
  • Masters Degree preferred in Nursing, Public Health, Social Science
  • Five years relevant experience
  • Two years of public health and/or community prevention program leadership
  • Strong knowledge of public health principles and prevention strategies
  • Grant writing experience
  • Public speaking and teaching experience
  • Current RN license preferred
  • BLS from AHA required

Responsibilities

  • Leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Trauma System's Injury Prevention and Trauma Survivors Network programs.
  • Ensuring trauma centers have the tools, resources, support, and programs to meet or exceed American College of Surgeons verification requirements and State of Colorado and Kansas designation requirements.
