About The Position

HealthFitness is seeking a dedicated Injury Prevention Professional to join our team in Bath, Maine. This role plays a critical part in supporting employee health and safety by helping keep employees safe, strong, and injury-free. The Injury Prevention Professional will support the creation and implementation of programs focused on the prevention of work injuries, physical conditioning, and employee education and wellness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, or Exercise Science or other related field required.
  • Current Adult CPR/AED certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required.
  • Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.

Nice To Haves

  • Personal Training certification from ACE, AFAA, ACSM, NASM, NETA or NSCA a plus.
  • First Aid certification from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute preferred.
  • Work experience in a clinical environment (occupational therapy, physical therapy, cardiac rehab, nursing) preferred.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in corporate based health and fitness program preferred.
  • Understanding of Biomechanics, occupational safety and proficient in exercise prescription preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts employee injury prevention programs, education, and training.
  • Develops exercise programs specific to injury prevention and conditioning needs.
  • Collects and document appropriate program data to support the ROI process.
  • Develop, promote, and market wellness and general education programs.
  • Supports employee healthcare teams with job function assessment, incident investigation and care management.
  • Other duties as needed/assigned.
