About The Position

HealthFitness is hiring an Injury Prevention Coordinator at a manufacturing client site in East Liberty, OH. This role involves industrial ergonomics, biomechanics, and proactive injury prevention and is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the floor educating and supporting employees in real time. The schedule is 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday 1:30 PM–10:00 PM (no weekends). Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, Exercise Science, or a related field, or licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) or Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA).
  • 2+ years’ experience in health and fitness.
  • Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.

Nice To Haves

  • Personal Training Certification.
  • Understanding of Biomechanics.
  • Understanding of Occupational Safety.
  • Work experience in a clinical environment (occupational therapy, physical therapy, cardiac rehab, nursing).

Responsibilities

  • Develops, coordinates, and evaluates programs focused on the prevention of work-related injuries, physical conditioning, and employee education and wellness within the manufacturing environment, in collaboration with the client's employee healthcare team.
  • Conducts employee injury prevention programs, education, and training.
  • Leads the development and implementation of interventions/programs focused on the manufacturing environment to meet client objectives.
  • Assists employee healthcare teams with job function assessment, incident investigation and care management.
  • Collects and evaluates program data to support ROI process, manages and reports data for their assigned plant.
  • Develops, promotes, and markets wellness and general education programs.
  • Performs other duties as needed/assigned.
