About The Position

Under general supervision, injects wax into molds; and performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Some experience in foundry or production operations
• Knowledge of hazards and risks and emergency response procedures
• Knowledge of safety practices and procedures
• Ability to read and understand directions
• Ability to set controls and valves as directed
• Ability to use air guns and basic hand tools
• Ability to work cooperatively with co-workers and related departments
• Ability to use safety gear as required
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, stretch, lift, and carry weights and materials weighing 50 pounds or less
• Ability to move heavier objects with the assistance of co-workers or mechanical devices
• Ability to perform essential functions of the job, as defined

Responsibilities

• Secures molds from storage as directed by work order card by part and mold number
• Obtains the wax as directed
• Heats wax until it melts
• Fills cylinders
• Places cylinder in injection machine
• Places mold in injection machine
• Injects wax
• Opens mold and removes molded part
• Cleans parts
• Dip molded part into cold water
• Delivers parts to set-up rooms
• Cleans and returns molds to storage
• Cleans some parts with acid to disintegrate inside plastic as needed
• Regular punctuality, attendance, and absence reporting in conformance with company policies is essential to the successful performance of this position
• Fully comply with company rules, policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure safe and effective operations
