Join our team as an Injection Registered Nurse (RN) and help support the collection of critical cell and gene therapy donations. In this outpatient role, you will primarily administer stem cell mobilization injections to healthy adult donors during weekend shifts, with opportunities for additional weekday hours. You will provide exceptional donor care while ensuring safe and effective preparation for subsequent white blood cell collection procedures.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or higher level degree from accredited nursing program
  • Must have a State Registered Nurse License in Massachusetts
  • 1+ years of experience performing injections (experience performing injections during education programs will be considered)
  • Good communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform injections on donors to stimulate the stem cells for white blood cell collection.
  • Collect lab samples on donors as needed (i.e. CBC, urine, ect.).
  • Follow established process flow to ensure customer orders are fulfilled and shipped timely.
  • Perform and document pertinent assessments to establish donor eligibility and qualifications.
  • Provide donor education as it relates to specific collection procedures.
  • Analyze diagnostic laboratory data.
  • Ensure donor safety including managing adverse events during injection procedures.
  • Demonstrate effective and professional interdisciplinary communication.
  • Demonstrate competency and maintain confidentiality.
  • Anticipate and recognize changes in the patient's status and need for intervention.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills.
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with other team members to accomplish the workload.
