About The Position

The Injection Operator is responsible for ensuring product safety and quality throughout the production process. This role involves preparing production paperwork, monitoring machine operations, performing quality checks, identifying and reporting nonconformities, evaluating product quality, documenting machine performance, and preparing the area for shipment and the next shift. The operator must maintain a clean and safe working area and adhere to all safety rules and procedures. This position also includes starting injection molding machines, cleaning grinders, and troubleshooting minor machine or part issues.

Requirements

  • Fundamental responsibility to ensure product safety and quality.
  • Ability to prepare production paperwork.
  • Ability to monitor machine operation and count parts correctly.
  • Ability to pull shots for quality checks.
  • Ability to identify nonconformities and inform the Shift QA.
  • Ability to evaluate product quality.
  • Ability to report food safety and quality problems.
  • Ability to evaluate and document machine performance.
  • Ability to prepare boxes for shipment (taping, labeling, stacking).
  • Ability to prepare end-of-shift paperwork.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe working area.
  • Ability to perform sweeping, cleaning, and sorting duties.
  • Ability to perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures.
  • Ability to start up Injection molding machines.
  • Ability to clean out grinders.
  • Ability to troubleshoot minor machine/part issues.
  • Follow all safety rules and procedures.
  • Comply with Federal and State Laws.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure product safety and quality.
  • Prepare production paperwork for machine start-up and operation.
  • Monitor machine operation to ensure parts are collected and counted correctly.
  • Pull shots for quality checks.
  • Identify nonconformities and inform the Shift QA.
  • Evaluate product to ensure high quality and conformance with established standards.
  • Report any food safety and quality problems or concerns.
  • Evaluate and document machine performance.
  • Tape boxes shut, label them, and stack for shipment.
  • Prepare paperwork at the end of the shift, noting any problems or exceptions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working area.
  • Perform sweeping, cleaning, and sorting duties as necessary.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures.
  • Start up Injection molding machines.
  • Clean out grinders.
  • Troubleshoot minor machine/part issues.
