This role involves ensuring safety and environmental procedures are followed, providing leadership and coaching to production associates, coordinating training, and identifying cost-saving projects. The technician will develop and implement plans to improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity, and coordinate preventative maintenance. Key responsibilities include leading 5S efforts, fostering creativity and communication, troubleshooting processing and tooling problems with injection molding machines, and performing set-ups and start-ups. The role also requires relaying pertinent information, accurately recording waste, performing first shot inspections, and potentially troubleshooting electrical issues, mixing resins, relieving operators, and engaging in material handling. The technician will verify and monitor machine cycles, minimize downtime, maintain clean working conditions, and operate a forklift safely to transport materials. Miscellaneous duties as required by supervision, including responding to alarms, are also part of the role. Some requirements may exclude individuals who pose a direct threat or significant risk to the health and safety of themselves or other employees.
