Requirements

Post Secondary education or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years of experience setting molds in injection molding machines in an manufacturing environment
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English.
Ability to read and understand work orders.
Must understand injection molding machine functions.
Must understand the fundamentals of the injection molding process.
Capable of lifting up to 50lbs repeatedly
Self-starter and able to work in an extremely fast paced environment.
Able to work with minimal supervision and take directions.
Able to work under time constraints, prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.
Must have own tools.
Forklift Certification
Overhead Crane Certification

Responsibilities

Set up and install molds in injection molding machine according to work order
Set up ancillary equipment as related to the molding process
Set up End of Arm tooling for robotic part removal and trimming
Performs mold changes according to production schedule
Perform insert changes to molds according to production schedule
Follow and document process parameters to ensure repeatable results
Ensure the machine and work area is clean and organized before production is started.
Use a crane hoist to move molds through the plant and for mold changes
Proper handling and care of all materials, molds and tools
Use troubleshooting skills to improve and develop repeatable molding processes
Ensure clear and consistent communication between shifts
Assisting in modification of existing procedures
Provide ideas to improve efficiency
Train set up technicians as required.
Other duties as required
