About The Position

The Injection Molding Quality Inspector reports directly to the Quality Engineer. This role involves monitoring, inspecting, and auditing the injection molding process and product to ensure compliance with specifications. The inspector will also assure the integrity of process control systems and identify trends in product quality.

Requirements

  • Ability to navigate a computer in a Windows-based environment.
  • Proficiency in using measurement devices such as Calipers, Go/No-Go Gauges, Optical Comparators, Digital Force gauges, and rules.
  • 6 months of QA experience or exposure.
  • H.S. diploma (if hired after 01-Jun-2000).
  • Eye exam is required.
  • Steel Toe or composite shoes are required.
  • US Citizens or GC Holders or GC EAD or OPT or EAD or CPT

Nice To Haves

  • Internal transfers exempted from H.S. diploma requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various testing procedures and simple statistical analysis.
  • Conduct complete inspection of product prior to release according to applicable specifications within the assigned Business Unit.
  • Apply appropriate statistical sampling plans.
  • Statistically sample or contain all hold products as applicable per the appropriate specification requirements.
  • Record inspection results and audit findings on appropriate forms and/or in the Quality Module of SAP.
  • Report all product non-conformance issues to Quality and Production Management.
  • Maintain adherence to all safety, environmental, and quality system standards.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed by Quality Management or designate.
  • Follow all site-required safety and quality policies.
