About The Position

As an Injection Molding Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead the repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of injection molding machines and automated equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. You will oversee maintenance personnel, coordinate repairs and upgrades, manage maintenance priorities and budgets, and drive continuous improvement through leadership, training, and equipment performance optimization.

Requirements

  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
  • Dependable and motivated with a good work history.
  • Accepts responsibility for work performed.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information and instructions.
  • Strong leadership and management skills to motivate and direct a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds overhead.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to waist.
  • Must be able to work around grease, oils and solvents without adverse reaction.
  • Ability to climb up and down ladders.
  • Must be able to stand, walk bend or stoop through an entire shift.
  • Good manual dexterity of arms and fingers.
  • Must have 20/20 vision with correction and must be able to differentiate color.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct Injection Maintenance Technicians, provide leadership and guidance, and ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules, plans for repairs and upgrades.
  • Keep up to date on all priority changes and communicate them to department leadership.
  • Order parts for repair of machines, equipment upgrades and retrofits.
  • Operate within budget guidelines.
  • Communicate information to departmental personnel.
  • Seek training to become a better leader.
  • Motivate personnel to seek ways to make equipment run more efficiently.
  • Seek ways to motivate personnel and to bring a higher morale to the department.
  • Assist department personnel to seek and receive appropriate training.
  • Assume control of equipment, when a situation arises that has the potential for personal injury or rapid deterioration of a machine.
  • Approve changes to Lawrence specific ISO procedures.
  • All other tasks as assigned by the Injection Maintenance Manager.
