About The Position

We have recently partnered with a growing manufacturing company in Buffalo, NY who is hiring for Injection Mold Technicians! The successful employee in this role will be responsible for installation and removal of molds. Also performing troubleshooting and molding machine start-ups to prescribed production standards. Full-time, onsite, direct hire Pay: Up to $27/hr depending on experience! Experience with Injection Molding will be REQUIRED for this opportunity.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of Injection Mold Experience
High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

Following the first piece inspection procedure on all new start-ups to ensure quality of production runs.
Troubleshooting machine problems identified by inspectors/operators and adjusting machine parameters.
Safely and efficiently installing and removing full molds and plates in injection molding machinery.
Safely and efficiently operating molding machinery, electronic scales, and various measuring instruments.
Visually and dimensionally inspecting parts, and updating logs to ensure finished product quality.
Implementing various process improvement procedures, including purging cylinders, reheating machines, and eliminating scrap.
Repairing mold water leaks and inspecting mold electrical connections for proper function and safe operation.
Occasionally running Molding Experimental Orders and distributing product samples.
Maintaining accurate daily shift change logs.
Ensuring productivity and efficiency of molding production by maintaining proper machine cycle, part containment, and cavitation.
Entering Mattec data, including startup scrap and downtime.
Originating, supporting, and maintaining all 5S activities throughout the molding floor.
Filling in as molding operators, material handlers, and performing any other capable and reasonable function at the request of supervision.
