About The Position
This position involves ensuring product safety and quality in an injection molding environment. The role includes preparing production paperwork for machine start-up and operation, monitoring machine operation to ensure parts are collected and counted correctly, and pulling shots for quality checks. The incumbent will identify nonconformities, inform the Shift QA, and evaluate product to ensure high quality and conformance with established standards, reporting any food safety and quality problems or concerns. Responsibilities also include evaluating and documenting machine performance, maintaining ink in printers and labels in labelers, and un-jamming assemblers as needed. The role requires taping boxes shut, labeling them, and stacking them for shipment, as well as preparing end-of-shift paperwork for the following shift, noting any problems or exceptions. Maintaining a clean and safe working area and performing sweeping, cleaning, and sorting duties as necessary, all in accordance with safety rules and procedures, are also key aspects of the job. Responsibilities
- Has a fundamental responsibility to ensure product safety and quality as it applies to all the duties listed below
- Prepare production paperwork for machine start-up and operation
- Monitor machine operation to ensure parts are collected into storage boxes and are counted correctly
- Pull shots for quality checks following machine re-starts or as needed
- Identify nonconformities and inform the Shift QA
- Evaluate product to ensure high quality and conformance with established standards
- Report any food safety and quality problems or concerns
- Evaluate and document machine performance
- Maintain ink in printers and labels in labelers
- Un-jam assemblers as needed
- Tape boxes shut, label the boxes, and stack for shipment
- Prepare paperwork at the end of the shift for the following shift, noting any problems or exceptions that occurred
- Maintain a clean and safe working area
- Perform sweeping, cleaning, sorting duties as necessary
- Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures
