About The Position

The Health Care Initial Billing Specialist is a member of the team responsible for coordinating and processing patient and insurance billing. This role involves submitting claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance companies to secure payment, creating patient accounts in billing systems to bill DME claims to payors and patients, reviewing medical documentation to bill correct payors and products, creating and mailing insurance claims, and resubmitting claims to insurance companies or other third parties to secure payment.

Requirements

• High school diploma required
• 1 year of medical billing experience

• Experience with Microsoft office
