About The Position

The Ingredient Operator receives and unloads bulk ingredients from rail cars and trucks, performs timely tests on incoming ingredients to support quality assurance and food safety, and operates grinding and mixing equipment. The role also includes maintaining equipment to reduce or eliminate downtime and keeping the work area clean, sanitary, and orderly to protect employee and food safety.

The Lawrence, Kansas facility operates on a 24/7 production schedule. This is a B Shift position working Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and every other Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The starting rate is $27.95 per hour, with a $0.50-per-hour shift premium.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to comply with a strict attendance policy.
• Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Ability and willingness to communicate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to comply with the captive uniform and safety shoe policy.
• Ability to complete routine computer-based trainings.
• Ability to occasionally lift 55 pounds from floor to knuckle level, including from 12 inches above the floor to knuckle level.
• Ability to occasionally push 50 pounds of static force.
• Ability to occasionally pull 50 pounds of static force.
