About The Position

This position oversees all Ingredient Control pre-weigh processes during their shift, acting as a liaison between the company and customer. It is responsible for leading kit assembly for the production plant, including pre-weigh ingredients, tracking inventory, and following detailed instructions. The role ensures that all details and specifications of each product are met and that co-workers follow recipes and directions accurately. It also oversees kitting, preparation for kitting, movement to storage, and all associated record keeping, ensuring FEFO (First Expired First Out) is followed. The position is also responsible for evaluating and suggesting improvements for continuous process improvement, learning and applying new processes, and ensuring all equipment is maintained, calibrated, and functions properly. Pre-weighing ingredients according to customer-specific recipes, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting in physical counts of customer-owned inventories are also key duties. Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices, quality production, and food safety standards is required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret formulas and procedures in English.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records with math and science skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP or other inventory management systems
  • Experience with GMP and/or HACCP regulations
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a Production environment is preferred, but not required.
  • Forklift certification

Responsibilities

  • Works as liaison between the company and customer, being sensitive to Confidentiality Agreements.
  • Monitors activities in area of responsibility at all times during shift.
  • Trains and leads, as well as communicates effectively with all co-workers.
  • Works to minimize change over time.
  • Ensures that every detail and specification of each product is met.
  • Ensures co-workers follow recipes and directions, “to the letter.”
  • Oversees kitting, preparation for kitting, movement to storage and all associated record keeping.
  • Ensures FEFO (First Expired First Out) is being followed with all ingredient consumption.
  • Responsible for evaluating and making suggestions for the continuous improvement of processes in area of responsibility.
  • Must learn and apply new processes and procedures in area of responsibility.
  • Ensures all equipment is maintained, calibrated, and works properly at peak efficiency.
  • Pre-weigh Ingredients following customer specific recipes.
  • Maintains cleanliness of areas responsible for.
  • Assists in conducting physical counts on customer owned inventories.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices as outlined in Employee Handbook.
  • Adhere to and comply with quality production and Food Safety.
