About The Position

The Supplier Quality Engineer II ensures suppliers deliver quality parts, materials, and services. The role qualifies suppliers to company standards, may administer a Certified Supplier Program in receiving inspection, monitors parts from acquisition through manufacturing, and communicates and resolves supplier-related problems. It develops and prioritizes supplier audit schedules and evaluates suppliers’ internal functions to assess performance and provide feedback. Some individuals may also support Pre-Market Supplier Quality and New Product Development (NPD). This work includes providing quality engineering support in partnership with Component Engineering and Post-Market Supplier Quality; guiding supplier quality engagement across the NPD lifecycle; and helping ensure purchased products and components meet applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer requirements. Responsibilities may include coordinating product acceptance sampling strategies, Approved Supplier List activities, Supplier Owned Quality deployment, control plans, receiving inspection requirements, and validation of internal Medtronic test methods.
