About The Position

EXP is seeking an Intermediate Inspection Engineer for Bridges and Civil Structures to join their transportation sector team. This role involves contributing to projects for clients such as the Ministère des Transports du Québec and the Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction.
  • 3 or more years of professional experience in structure inspection.
  • Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec as an engineer.
  • Advanced proficiency in English (oral and written) is required for regular communication with internal and external partners in Canada, the US, and internationally.

Nice To Haves

  • Training in MTQ Structure Inventory and Inspection.
  • Training in MTQ Structure Maintenance.
  • Training in Signage Structure Inventory and Inspection is an asset.
  • Training in Electrotechnical Systems Inventory and Inspection is an asset.
  • SPRAT I certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the preparation of service offers and work plans for structure inspections.
  • Ensure rigorous administrative management of projects and assume responsibility for them (invoicing, collection, contract management, etc.).
  • Act as the principal inspector for various structure inspection mandates (bridges, signage, electrotechnical, etc.).
  • Participate in the preparation of reports, ensuring their quality and adherence to deadlines.
  • Ensure the control of signage for inspected structures, if applicable.
  • Establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with colleagues, clients, partner contractors, and representatives of main suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Perform all other tasks related to the job.
