About The Position

The company distinguishes itself through a unique blend of deep human understanding and proven science. Haleon is currently seeking a Reliability Engineer to join its Montreal (Saint-Laurent) team. The Montreal site is a manufacturing facility for liquid, solid, and semi-solid health products, involving complex regulatory factors, technical processes, and high-risk activities. The Reliability Engineer is responsible for optimizing equipment maintenance, usage, and design to minimize losses and improve efficiency. This role involves developing and implementing an equipment maintenance program to prevent breakdowns and production downtime. The individual will also be part of the continuous improvement program and will be responsible for training maintenance and production staff on implemented improvements. They are responsible for the breakdown analysis program and must coordinate activities related to this program.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in French is required for effective communication and adherence to operational and regulatory standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
  • Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in pharmaceutical or health product manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry regulations and standards.
  • Reliability certification or experience in implementing continuous improvement programs.

Responsibilities

  • Identify equipment reliability issues and propose solutions.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and production interruptions.
  • Manage the equipment breakdown analysis program and coordinate related activities.
  • Provide technical support and training to maintenance and production personnel.
  • Develop continuous improvement plans to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering departments to resolve reliability issues and improve processes.
