About The Position

This position is for a multi-skilled individual that can work independently to provide quality health care to patients in the Infusion Center. The role involves collaborating with providers and other nursing staff. The ideal candidate is a Certified Medical Assistant or is currently working on obtaining their Medical Assistant Certification.

Requirements

Graduation within 12 months of hire from an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
BLS required.

Nice To Haves

Prior medical reception and/or clinical experience and familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
Excellent customer service skills

Responsibilities

Assist with clerical duties such as answering phones and greeting patients.
Update and maintain patient files and medical records
Schedule appointments and manage provider schedules
Take vitals, explain treatment procedures, collect and prepare lab specimens
Authorize prescription refills and manage prescriptions with pharmacies
Sterilize medical equipment and maintain a clean working space
