As an Infusion Nurse, you will administer intravenous (IV) therapies and medications, ensuring safe and effective patient care delivery. Every day you will assess needs, manage infusion devices, meticulously prepare and administer medications, educate patients, and monitor for complications. To be successful, you will demonstrate exceptional clinical assessment, precise technical proficiency, compassionate communication, and adherence to sterile and safety protocols. Serve as the primary point of contact for scheduling and managing appointments for outpatient infusions and procedures. Performs infusion and procedures as ordered. Coordinates with other clinical departments and ancillary services to ensure timely delivery of care. May delegate performance of some procedures and infusions to other clinical areas during off-shifts, weekends and/or when work load demands. Performs assessment and analyzes patient problems and conditions using critical decision making to determine need for standard, urgent, or emergent interventions. Implements and/or modifies plan of car using assessment data, standards of care and evidence based practice inclusive of nursing care coordination, appropriate patient and family education, and discharge planning.
