About The Position

Seeking Infusion RN for the Outpatient Infusion Center at Cancer Center of Indiana, located in the Southern Indiana/Louisville, Kentucky area. In this role, the oncology nurse encompasses both direct and indirect aspects of nursing care. Ambulatory oncology nursing includes the roles of direct caregiver, educator, clinical service coordinator, and research nurse. It is multimodal, including medical, surgical, and radiotherapy nursing practice. The role also involves maintaining compliance with COLA, OSHA, and CLIA to maintain laboratory status, with testing personnel responsible for specimen processing, test performance, and reporting test results.

Requirements

  • Minimum associates degree in Nursing or equivalent from two year college or technical school
  • Must maintain current Indiana nursing license
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider required from a provider that follows AHA guidelines (American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Health Safety Institute) and requires a skill check off upon hire

Nice To Haves

  • Oncology experience is preferred
  • Oncology Nurse Certification highly encouraged and supported
