About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides professional, comprehensive nursing care for patients in an oncology clinic or infusion center. Initially working with a preceptor and assuming increasing responsibility, the RN 1 delivers coordinated, safe, compassionate, therapeutic, evidence-based, quality care to patients and families. Care is based on individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs and appropriate care strategies throughout the lifespan. The nurse practices in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act in the state of employment, the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the ANA scope and standards of practice. Job-specific functions and skills are outlined in the unit-specific checklist and applicable specialty standards.

The role is with Oregon Clinical Programs at Providence, whose culture emphasizes patient-focused, whole-person care, understanding, commitment, mutual respect, and empowering caregivers.

Requirements

• Nursing degree or diploma upon hire.
• Oregon Registered Nurse License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; encouraged to obtain within three years of hire.
