Provides services to clients in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act, Agency policy, and accepted professional standards of practice. The Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing services utilizing a comprehensive base of nursing theory. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state(s) of practice.
  • Proficient in various infusion and injectable medications, including peripheral intravenous (IV) starts and accessing infusion ports.
  • Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state and/or Agency requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assume accountability for professional nursing practice, following the state Nurse Practice Act and home health standards.
  • Conduct physical assessments, including client admissions and reassessments, as directed by the Clinical Supervisor.
  • Report changes in the client condition to the medical practitioner and care team promptly.
  • Contribute to the development and adjustment of client care plans.
  • Demonstrate technical nursing competency, especially in administering infusions, injectables, and IV access.
  • Practice nursing with respect for individual, cultural, and spiritual differences, adhering to Agency policies.
  • Promote safety, infection control, and continuous quality improvement in client care.
  • Maintain confidentiality and engage in ongoing professional development.
