About The Position

Metro Infusion Center (Affiliated with Metro Infectious Disease Consultants) is seeking a Registered Nurse for supervision and administration of infusion therapy on a PRN basis in the clinic located in King of Prussia, PA. Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current PA RN license.
  • At least two years of RN office practice experience, preferably in an infusion-related practice.
  • Infusion experience.
  • Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters, commonly required for those working with immunocompromised patients, including measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID-19. Requests for accommodations/exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis, consistent with applicable laws.

Nice To Haves

  • Chemo experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Place Peripheral Lines (peripherally inserted central catheter) lines for new patients.
  • Teach infusion patients how to self-administer medications and document in the Medical Record.
  • Review and chart daily laboratory results, communicating information to physicians and/or patients.
  • E-prescribe prescriptions as per doctor's order and communicate to pharmacies.
  • Receive and return patient and other telephone calls.
  • Review EMR charts for upcoming appointments, ordering necessary lab results, consult reports, or notes.
  • Document all required fields within EMR to be eligible for meaningful use.
  • Respond to telephone calls, meet patients in the office, and schedule appointments as needed.
  • Participate in quality assurance and educational activities.
  • Use clinical judgment to evaluate activities and meet patient care needs, establishing priorities.
  • Monitor the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment.
  • Participate in activities to facilitate good interpersonal communications with the facility.
  • Support professional practice by observing Standards of Nursing Practice, JCAHO, state and local laws, and MIDC policy.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
