Infusion Registered Nurse, Per Diem - Plano, TX
About The Position
VIVO Infusion is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Infusion Registered Nurse to provide safe, effective, and compassionate patient care in accordance with state and federal regulations, company policies, and clinical guidelines. The role involves administering infusion treatments, calculating and mixing prescription medications, performing accurate IV insertions, and monitoring patients before, during, and after treatment to support their comfort and well-being. The position is per diem, scheduled on weekends from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and may require travel to other DFW clinics. It is based at the Plano, Texas clinic and reports to the Clinical Operations Manager. The nurse will provide direct patient care, conduct admission and ongoing assessments, document and report patient assessments, complete daily treatment flow-sheet reviews, and maintain timely and accurate electronic charting. The role also includes assisting with inventory and supply orders, communicating with providers via Telehealth as needed, supporting continuous quality improvement activities, supervising assigned unlicensed direct patient care team members, and complying with HIPAA and facility policies and procedures. Requirements
- Current and valid state professional nurse licensure.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing associate or bachelor's degree program.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- At least one year of IV experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and excellence.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to independently perform accurate dose calculations and mix medications regularly.
- Ability to read and interpret safety requirements, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to perform the essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
Nice To Haves
- ONC certification.
- Infusion experience.
- Specialty certification or CRNI (Certified Registered Nurse Infusion).
- ICU or ED experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent, and attentive manner within the scope of practice.
- Calculate, mix, and administer prescription medications daily.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after infusion treatments.
- Assist with managing inventory and ordering supplies.
- Document and report patient assessments to medical staff and other healthcare team members on an ongoing basis.
- Perform skillful and accurate IV insertions.

- Assist in implementing continuous quality improvement activities.

- Complete daily run/flow-sheet reviews for assigned treatments.
- Demonstrate competency in facility policies and procedures to ensure compliance with clinical and technical requirements.

- Enforce and adhere to HIPAA compliance policies.
- Complete accurate daily electronic charting and reporting efficiently and on time.
