About The Position

The Infusion Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the medical office. You will support medical staff and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of related experience and/or training in similar medical practice/field
  • Infusion office experience highly preferred
  • High school diploma: certification in medical administration is a plus
  • Experience accessing Electronic Medical Records (prior authorizations, claims, and scheduling)
  • Experience in Inventory Management
  • Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive)
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

Responsibilities

  • Assists nurses with obtaining patient orders, office visit notes, and labs from outside provider offices
  • Act as point of contact for stake holders
  • Interview patients for case histories prior to appointments
  • Update and maintain patients’ health records
  • Assist patients with initial paperwork
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments
  • Process insurance claims in compliance with law requirements
  • Use medical software to support all transactions
  • Manage receivable and payable accounts and maintain financial records
  • Answer patients’ queries and ensure quality customer service
  • Collaborate with doctors and nurses to help with schedule tests and order supplies
  • Ensure compliance with procedure
  • Keep up to date with changes in medical and insurance legislation
  • Other duties as assigned
