About The Position

The Infusion Nurse in our Oncology office will be a vital member of our healthcare team. Responsible for delivering compassionate and high-quality care and services to patients undergoing oncology treatments. Your role involves administering medications, monitoring patient responses, and providing support in a collaborative oncology care environment.

Requirements

Bilingual English and Chinese required (Mandarin or Cantonese)
IV experience required.
Current NYS Registered Nurse License required.
Nursing degree required.
BLS or ACLS certification required.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

ONS chemotherapy and biotherapy certified preferred but not required.
2+ years of experience in administering chemotherapy and biotherapy preferred.

Responsibilities

Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, antibiotics, symptom management and triage patients.
Provide and document professional nursing care.
Demonstrates competency in all aspects of chemotherapy administration, monoclonal antibody therapy, IV therapy, subcutaneous and intramuscular injection administration.
Knowledgeable and practice within the ONS guidelines during any adverse event while administering chemotherapy, i.e. chemotherapy spill incidents.
Provide education and follow-up care after patients have been released from chemotherapy.
Communicate effectively with physicians and other team members.
Other tasks as assigned by providers or Office Manager.
